Every fruitful, joyful, evangelizing parish should embrace the insights and methods of at least three of the four models. The Four Ways Forward not only describes each model, giving examples of how it is being used in parishes today, but offers a practical blueprint toward crafting a response to the post-Christian world, including notes on spiritual roadblocks that can get in the way.

You'll learn that the overwhelming pursuit of success stems from our underlying belief that we need to earn love, and that striving for it will somehow cure our lack of self-love. Mark Joseph will show you, through his experiences and those of others, that fulfillment has nothing to do with success. It comes from knowing that - despite success or failure - you were created by God for greatness, for love and to be loved.

A few decades ago, the Catholic Church began referring to Confession as the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation. It did this to emphasize reconciliation. That's the short answer to the question, "Why go back to confession?" We do it to be reconciled. Reconciliation literally means "to meet again." We've lost our way. Confession is the way back home.

If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained" (Jn20:22-23). From that point on, the Church's ordained ministers have carried out this work of forgiveness and reconciliation.
