How often have you heard the Gospel at Sunday Mass and wondered, "What happens next?" Often, our only experience of the Gospels is of those isolated segments taken out of context, like unassembled pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, rather than the story of our Savior's life.
The Life of Jesus Christ: Understanding the Story of the Gospels aims to change that experience. Author Russell Shaw weaves together the events of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John's narratives in chronological order to capture a true and rounded picture of Jesus’ life.
The Life of Jesus Christ is the scriptural companion you've been searching for. Together, the four Gospels reveal Jesus Christ, God Incarnate, as a man of complexity and depth — compassionate but stern, who knew how to laugh and how to cry, a charismatic leader uninterested in worldly power, a subtle thinker who drew sublime messages from ordinary life. With Shaw guiding you, you'll truly get to know the Son of God in a new way.

The word conversion is often associated with a one-time event, such as the call of Saint Matthew. But even for Matthew, that call was only the beginning, the moment when he started following Jesus. For Matthew, as for all the saints, his conversion lasted a lifetime. Real conversion - repentance and turning toward God - is a process that happens daily. It is our continual "yes" to the Lord and the grace he offers us. Perfect for individual or group study, each chapter includes reflection questions.
In A God Who Questions, author and speaker Leonard J. DeLorenzo examines 20 of the questions asked in Scripture and shows us how they reveal the hidden secrets of our hearts and invite a true encounter with God. Really listening to the questions of Jesus can be painful but also wonderful, unsettling and yet illuminating, inconvenient but always inspiring.
The Father's love for us in Christ is demonstrated through reading the biblical texts in their literary and historical contexts, then drawing out their theological lessons.
You have heard the story of Jesus. But do you really grasp its meaning? The person at the center of this story is Jesus Christ, who through his life, death, and resurrection broke the chains of sin and death and who, at this very moment, offers each of us meaning and fulfillment in this life and eternal joy in the next.
